Canada is one of Scotland’s biggest inward investors and Canadian companies located in Scotland support more than 5000 Scottish jobs. Canadian companies based in and around Aberdeen recover 30% of the oil and gas produced in the North Sea; underlining our strong oil and gas links.

Canada is also one of Scotland’s most valuable international tourism markets. Over 100,000 Canadian visitors come to Scotland each year and spend nearly £60m annually.

We can provide international companies with the latest information on Scotland’s economy and our world-leading products and technologies. We can also help facilitate introductions with leading Scottish companies in their sector.

We also provide ongoing support to Canadian companies already operating in Scotland.

There are around 50 Canadian companies who have operations or representation in Scotland. Key Canadian inward investors include Talisman Energy Inc, Nexen Inc, Shawcor Ltd, Vector Aerospace, CHC Helicopter Operation and Notus Electronics.
