Scotland's celebrated its strengths at the Subsea UK Awards ceremony, held during the recent Subsea Expo in Aberdeen.
With almost half of all the world's subsea installations located in the North Sea, Scotland's subsea companies have expertise and experience developed over decades.
The awards highlighted that depth of experience and the growing international reach of the sector in Scotland.
Aberdeen-based Hydro Group, specialists in cables and connectors, won the coveted Company of the Year awards with the judges impressed by the company's growth so far and the potential for further development in international markets.
A world leader
Many technologies developed in Scotland have revolutionised the worldwide oil and gas industry. With this experience and reputation we can build and maintain what we already have, develop new opportunities and ensure we have the infrastructure we need to remain a world leader.
David Rennie, international sector head, Scottish Development International
Doug Whyte, managing director of Hydro Group, said:
"We have also invested significantly into international markets including Canada, Europe and the Far East, further supported by our Singapore-based division Hydro Group Asia, formed in 2013.
"This is an exciting time for the whole team, and we remain committed to the development of market-leading subsea cables and connectors."
Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, commented:
"The past two years have been extremely challenging for the oil and gas sector, however we have continued to see an unwavering commitment from companies of all sizes to drive a real change across our industry.
