ADIPEC is the world's third largest oil and gas exhibition, attracting delegates and exhibitors from around the world.  The Scottish delegation will showcase the strength of Scotland's oil and gas supply chain, introducing some of Scotland's most innovative and experienced companies to new audiences.

Decades of experience in the North Sea have left Scottish supply chain companies with the expertise, products and services needed to make a global impact. Supply chain companies based in Scotland trade in over 100 markets worldwide, with the Middle East providing the sixth largest export market for Scotland's oil and gas industry.

And, with production reaching record levels in 2012 and 2013, the United Arab Emirates represents a key market for Scottish exports, with 15% of our supply-chain companies identifying it as a strong opportunity for growth.

A force to be reckoned with

David Rennie, head of international oil & gas at Scottish Enterprise, said:

"Scotland’s energy industry is a force to be reckoned with, and we are excited to introduce such a strong line-up of companies to ADIPEC this year.

"Each year we see that Scotland’s sector strengths are welcomed by ADIPEC attendees, and we expect they will continue to be the major value generators for the industry at home and abroad in the future."

As well as a prime location on the Scotland Pavilion, Scottish companies at ADIPEC will be supported by members of the GlobalScot network offering advice and insights about operating in international markets.

On the Scotland Pavilion

Many of the companies joining us on the Scotland Pavilion at ADIPEC 2014 have already shown their ability to adapt to new markets around the world.

We worked with AEL Specialist Electrical Distribution as they launched a base in Houston earlier this year, part of their ongoing strategy to engage with a global audience  while Aberdeen-based Online Electronics have connected with customers in over 70 countries, earning a Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2013.

And Coretrax have already found a valuable market for their drilling technologies in the Middle East with customers in both the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

With over 30 Scottish companies on the Scotland Pavilion representing a range of our supply-chain capabilities, delegates at ADIPEC 2014 are sure to find new reasons to trade with Scotland.

Our staff will also be on hand to talk you through the support available for companies investing in Scotland.

You’ll be in good company doing business in Scotland: TAQA, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, launched in Aberdeen in 2006 and has grown into a top 10 operator in the UK North Sea.

That success has been driven by the expertise and experience of the Scottish workforce with TAQA now supporting over 2500 oil and gas industry jobs.
