The University of Glasgow report looks at homeworking opportunities and key insights about this growing industry
When looking at implementing new customer service and engagement models, where homeworking is considered there are many perceived myths and barriers, along with a general lack of information available on the subject.
Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise have commissioned a report by the University of Glasgow to try and get some further insight on the topic. Our aim was to better understand the trends taking place and challenges companies face as well as the benefits to businesses through implementing and setting up homeworking operations.
The report highlights several reasons why homeworking is likely to become increasingly important, and why Scotland could be the perfect starting point for your homeworking operation.
Scotland already has a highly developed financial and business service sector and homeworking is seen to be an important solution to support further employment, particularly in more rural regions which make up much of Scotland.
