Creative Scotland

A master of disguise

Scotland looks great, even when it's pretending to be somewhere else.

Glasgow's grid layout made it perfect for the part of Philadelphia in World War Z, and San Francisco in Cloud Atlas. For Prometheus, the filmmakers went to Skye for the other-worldly look.

It's a location scout's dream: you can be in the city one moment and the lochs and glens the next. Scotland's versatility makes for low production costs, so you can stop worrying about logistics and focus on the filming.

To find a location for your next production, go to Creative Scotland Locations.
