Join us for an immigration update for the fishing sector – what do employers need to know?

Recent changes to the Immigration Rules clarify that seafarers working within a 12-mile radius of the UK shore (also known as UK territorial waters) are subject to immigration control. These changes clarify that most non-British and non-Irish citizens working on vessels within UK territorial waters must have permission to do so before beginning work.

  • An overview of the recent changes to the immigration rules
  • The Skilled Worker Route (as a way to sponsor staff in the fishing sector)
  • The recent changes to permitted activities for seafarers entering the UK as a visitor
  • Case studies
  • Additional business immigration support and guidance available from TalentScotland
  • Q&A

This webinar is presented by Brodies LLP, TalentScotland’s immigration specialists, and you'll get the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
