• Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe Ltd (MPSE) – a £100 million investment and the creation of the Centre for Advanced Technology in Edinburgh that will carry out research and development in offshore wind turbine technology  
• Scottish and Southern Energy – part of consortia that won development partner status as part of round three of the Crown Estate’s offshore wind development programme

• E.ON – developing various wind power project, their third offshore farm in the Solway Firth is one of the UK’s largest
