International Trade and Investment Strategy 2011-2015

This five year strategy sets out the opportunities and priorities for Scotland to achieve a significant increase in trade and investment performance, to support sustained economic growth.

The paper brings together the collective objectives of Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and SDI to encourage and facilitate international growth for Scottish companies and attract foreign investment into Scotland. Specifically, the strategy looks at how Team Scotland can capitalise on Scotland’s strengths in innovation, research and development, academic excellence and industry expertise across those sectors where we have a competitive edge.
