Dundee companies meet US GlobalScots

On 27 July, 11 of GlobalScot's account managed companies gathered in the Scottish Enterprise office in Dundee to hear from legal expert and GlobalScot, Mark Goldschmidt.

Mark was there to talk about Raising Capital in America - How Scottish Companies Can Avoid US Legal Pitfalls.

Mark is a partner in the Denver, Colorado office of Patton Boggs LLP.

Patton Boggs LLP is an international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Mark’s legal practice focuses in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general business transactions.

He provides advice to clients ranging from early stage start-up companies to publicly traded companies in the areas of securities law compliance and general corporate matters.

Mark’s experience includes advising companies in the areas of incorporation, start-up and finance (including non-U.S. companies commencing business in the U.S.), venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and technology licensing and transfers.

Mark advises companies in many industries with an emphasis on financial institutions and energy.

Mark was also joined by Willy Findlay, President of Flow Management Solutions, a division of Cameron International’s Valve and Measurement Group, who participated in a questions and answers session.
