Proact, Europe's leading storage integrator and cloud services enabler, is creating 50 new jobs at its European Operation and Support Centre based in Bellshill, thanks to support from Scottish Development International (SDI).
The company chose Scotland as a base to support the development of its UK and European operations, thanks to Scotland’s wide pool of talented technology staff as well as the relative ease of doing business in the country.
SDI has provided an integrated package of support to Proact, which included a Regional Selective Assistance grant, in order to help create the new roles in the region.
Chief Executive of SDI, Anne MacColl, said: "Scotland already has a well-established track record in IT and the provision of the full range of data, shared service and network operations centres.
“This means we can offer world-class infrastructure support, a large pool of highly qualified IT staff and cost effective benefits compared to other locations."
The company is targeting skilled technology professionals with management, customer service and technical expertise. Proact is also looking to hire talented individuals and graduates wishing to build a career with the company.
Danny Quinn, Head of Managed Cloud Services Operations at Proact, said: “Receiving the RSA grant means we can take advantage of the available workforce in Scotland and offer ambitious professionals the chance to build a long-lasting career with us.”
Proact will be holding a careers fair in Glasgow in June - find out more about the roles with the company on the Proact website.
