Time Magazine's 50 Best Inventions

One of the great ideas of 2011

D-Light has developed technology which makes use of diodes in lightbulbs to transmit data.

Essentially, this technology turns the humble lightbulb into a super-high-speed internet connection, which removes long-download times for consumers.

The technology taps into the light spectrum, which has 10,000 times more capacity than the radio spectrum which is currently at capacity.

Could your company be D-Light’s next partner?

D-Light know that their concept works – they just need to develop their product with the right partners to tap into the mass market.

Visible Light Communications will be attending Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona as part of a delegation of Scottish companies supported by Scottish Development International.
